Nature Photographers Network Editor's Pick
My first true macro lens was a Minolta100mm. It opened a whole new world of photography for me. I pulled the trigger in 2001 for a 200mm macro which is now far and away my most used lens. This is the first award winner from that lens. It's also one of my first really successful images of a passion flower. This is pretty much straight out of the camera. I used a little bit of fill flash to help separate the foreground elements from the background. For another unique view of a passion flower go here.
